| Many local amateur radio organizations put on electronics
flea-markets (hamfests) once or twice a year where members and non-members
can buy and sell new and used merchandise, usually relating to amateur radio,
computers and many other kinds of "techie" items. You never know what you're
going to see. Quite a few dealers (such as Jackstuff.com) hit the Interstates
to bring our stuff to these shows. If you see a hamfest near you in this
listing, don't miss the opportunity. You'll find bargains on all sorts of
stuff, interesting people, and you might even walk out with a new hobby.
But plan on getting there in the morning; normal opening time is 8:00
AM. Some shows last all day or all weekend, but many are finished around
noon. Use the URL or email address in the listing to get more details. There
is usually an admission charge of around $5-6 (kids usually free).
Naturally, we bring Radio T-shirts, Amateur color TV
transmitters, and a bunch of other interesting stuff.
Here's where we'll be in future weeks: |
